This is a really fun activity for the young or the young at heart. To celebrate their unique Kyoto charm and to display the unique style of each artist the Kyoto International Manga Museum invited 100 Japanese comic artists to each draw their rendition of a maiko.

The museum is a large library like building showing manga and graphic novels from throughout the world. The English language section of the museum is quite limited however the displays on Japanese and International comics are worth the trip. There are regular cosplay competitions on the weekend which can get crowded but are a lot fun.
